Herriot Hospice Homecare are inviting supporters to join their #CareforChristmas campaign and help raise funds and awareness to ensure they continue to be there for our community over Christmas and beyond. The team are working tirelessly to deliver existing vital hospice care services and to support our NHS colleagues and the wider communities in which we live and serve. This year they need your support more than ever.

They are promoting 3 fun and easy fundraising activities, which encourage keeping active and connected throughout lock down:

1. Christmas night in: In light of many Christmas parties being cancelled, they are providing you with the resources to have a fun virtual Christmas night in! Including a quiz and best/worst Santa jumper competition, a sure way to bring plenty of smiles and laughter to your team. In return, they ask for a donation to the Care for Christmas campaign on the savings you would have spent on a night out!

2.E-cards – They can provide you with a bespoke Herriot Hospice Homecare e-card to send to your colleagues, family and friends. This is a great way to show you’re supporting your community by being affiliated with your local charity as well as being environmentally conscious!

3.Christmas challenge- Whether it’s step based, running or walking we’re challenging you to get active. Why not make it festive and raise some smiles in a festive outfit? In return for your donation or getting sponsored you will receive a special Santa medal if you raise £50 or more! They also have a limited supply of Santa hats, which are available on a first come, first serve basis!

Your support will help Herriot Hospice care for more local families living with terminal illnesses and bereavement across Hambleton and Richmondshire in a very challenging environment.
