Having moved to the area in 2007 Sue established The Pop-Up Gallery bringing creative happenings to rural areas of the Dales with the help of  Arts Council England funding, project managing Art festivals, Artist Networking events, Art Trails, Artist workshops, Dales Creative, Veterans Art Projects and more as a direct response to the struggles faced by Rural Communities and professional artists during these recessional times.

Alongside, Sue developed a portfolio of work celebrating Dales life, the Cow ‘uss stone barns, agricultural heritage, folk and farm stock which she exhibits in galleries throughout Yorkshire regularly showing at The Station. Following a shoulder injury Sue had fun researching her O’wd Lasses vignettes of Yorkshire women, ‘the glamour pusses of yesteryear making sense of modern life and not going quietly into their dotage’ a range now being developed for other areas too Geordie Lasses, Essex and Welsh on the easel.
